I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
